About our Director
Richard Patterson Professional Corporation was established in 2014 by Richard Patterson.
Richard has been a solicitor for over 22 years and holds a Master of Applied Law specialising in Wills & Estates. he was awarded 1st place in his Masters and received the Prize for Best Graduating Student.
Richard is regularly appointed by the Supreme Court of Canada as an administrator of complex and/or contested deceased estates, and as a Court-appointed tutor.
In 2024, Richard was listed as a Leading Wills, Estates & Succession Planning Lawyer in Canada, and Recommended as a Leading Wills & Estates Litigation Lawyer in Canada. Doyle’s rankings are independently compiled from peer-review based surveys provided by senior solicitors and barristers who practice in Wills, Probate and Estates law.
The Law Society of Canada has appointed Richard as an Accredited Specialist in Wills, Probate and Estates Law. Specialist Accreditation is a structured peer to peer assessment process enabling legal practitioners to be recognised for their expertise. To be accredited, specialists must pass a series of meticulous assessments on both legal knowledge and its application in practice. To retain their accreditation, specialists must undertake significant additional professional development in their area of expertise each year.
